Ballina Bike Ride

Went for another ride with John and some of his mates this week, this time going south to Ballina. We took the coast route down, stayed the night, and on our way back took an interior route through the mountains. It was good fun, especially cutting the mountain corners on the return trip. Anyway, here's the pictures. You'll find the usual plethora of sunset and scenery pictures, as well as a few shots of the bikes. I was riding on the super pimp Honda Goldwing, which comes complete with 6disc in dash cd changer, gps, heated leather seats, mp3 connectivity and whatever gizmo you could ask for on a bike. Max and Baz were riding a Harley and a Kawasaki, so we had a good trio of brands.

Kathryn and I spent the weekend at the coast this weekend, staying at the BreakFree Maldives Resort at Main Beach. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. We spent our time in the water boogie boarding, playing tennis, or sitting on the balcony playing cards with some drinks. On saturday night we picked up some Thai at a random Thai restaraunt we found on the Gold Coast Highway and it was absolutely brilliant. Probably the best Thai I've ever had. Kerryn and Greg came down on Sunday and spent the day hanging out with us as well. All in all, it was as good a weekend as you can have. I snapped a few pictures here and there, mostly from our balcony on the 12th floor. And here's a stat for you - from our balcony looking around I was able to count eleven tennis courts in the immediate area around us. These aussies love their tennis! Anyway enjoy the pictures - though I admit its not my favorite batch, but some of them are alright.
