Canada beat Russia 3-1 today, and damn that was a good game to watch. Finished the round robin with a record of 3-0, with 10 goals for and 3 against. The young kids are all stepping up and getting results, which is really nice to see, and the vets are rock solid. Martin Brodeur has done a great job in net - it's comforting seeing him back there because you just KNOW he's going to give you a chance to win every game. Way to go! It must also be comforting for him, seeing the incredible array of talent lined up in front of him - though the opposing teams certainly don't lack for world class players. I'm getting pretty damn excited about our chances here, but make no mistake - it's still anybodies tournament. The star power each one of the teams has (except Germany tbh - no offense, but not a lot of big names on that team) is more than enough to earn each one ample opportunity to take home the crown. Cheers to the boys nevertheless! May their streak continue unabated! Woo!
