Hello New Years Eve! It's still early in the afternoon, but I'm already excited. I think tonights gathering will be a bit smaller than recent ones, I think total attendance will range from 5 to 8, doubtfully exceeding 10 at any given time. Though there are always surprises.
I'm excited though because this will be the 4th consecutive New Years gathering at this particular location, and I'm happy the tradition wasn't broken as a result of the move to Ontario. Each year we tend to have a little more fun, whether there are more people or less. I see no reason for this to be an exception. For myself, perhaps I'll have that extra incentive to enjoy the party, seeing as I depart seven days hence.
So at this moment, I'm left with the internal debate over what to drink this eve. There are ample stores of beer, and yet I'm less than thrilled by the prospect. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a few pop's now and then, but drinking excessive amounts of beer in a short while tends to leave a funny taste in my mouth - not so with rum. Indeed, I love my rum. So what kind shall I get? I think it's a tossup between three choices: Captain Morgans Spiced Rum, Bacardi (just standard), and Ciclon. For those of you who are virgin's to the pleasures of Ciclon, I recommend you try it whenever the chance arises. It's a rum mixed with tequila and lime, and it tastes excellent! Thinking of it now, I just might pick some up. The only problem with Ciclon is that it's often somewhat difficult to track down. I think I'd best begin my search!
Happy New Years everyone!
